Why though when you can just apt install ... and have it auto update etc.
Do the nvidias .run files basically do that too? Thought the official .runs are just binaries/libs getting dumped into correct places same as old make install

I am pretty sure no distro uses/works with the the .run files, you should be installing the drivers through the respective package manager.
Also why Kali? it’s a very specialized distribution for cyber security. It’s not for usual desktop uses

unsafe is usually used only when you need to interact with something else like low level or ffi

maybe ff syncs the youtube video volume to the pa slider?

I’ve switched from 3090 to the XTX few months back because of a really weird and unique bugs in one of my games (but otherwise it worked alright) and for few months had a lot more problems then I had with nvidia, especially with suspend but sometimes it would just crash (Plasma).
I did also switch to Plasma/Wayland with the upgrade so who knows but few kernels/mesa versions back were really bad, it works nicely now though [Arch]
I have only played D:OS 2 too but afaik the first Divinity games are pretty hardcore when it comes to gore (?).
For people who don’t know what libadwaita means here - GNOME by default does not support one of the most common way gui apps do tray icons, you need an extension for it (which is obviously pre-installed by many distros).
