Funding medical research is “too much communism”???
Ladies and Gentlemen, the human race is cooked.

I’d like to know what Steam has to say on the matter. They are usually one of the more reasonable software companies.
I’ve met leather skinned Floridian Caucasians who were darker than most of these people.
There are other options
Cool idea, but no practical way to implement it within the current system.
They would basically just starve us until we had no choice but to give in, or we just die.

No, you are wrong.
The death penalty works just fine for what it needs to do - it removes a threat to society.
And some crimes warrant removing a threat from society.

They can have the moral victory. I’m concerned about not giving them my money.

Don’t a lot of modern boards have a sort of clear coating over the components anyway? Some sort of enamel like substance?

I did the math on that a while back, and the one factor I don’t hear anyone mention is that you have to cool the liquid/oil as well.
Like, sure, a tank of oil can capture a lot of heat - you could probably max out several GPUs. But once that oil gets hot, it’s not going to take anymore heat away from the GPU, and it’s going to take a long time for a tank full of oil to cool down enough to provide proper cooling.
You’d basically have to have an additional heat pump unit transferring heat from the oil to the air if you wanted to run things long term (like crypto or whatever). So you’re basically just adding in an additional, unnecessary, very messy step.
Maybe datacenters should partner with fast food restaurant and use their waste heat to fry chicken nuggets.

I feel like that’s good general advice, but doesn’t address the question.
I’m not gonna shame people for their choices, but I guess that’s just me.

It’s also ok to NOT support your country when they have a history of this exact thing.
If you have been non-white in the last, oh, 200+ years of this countries existence, then you’ve been dealing with this exact thing your entire life. Just white folks generally didn’t care about it until white people started getting killed.
When and if we fix this thing, it needs to be fixed for ALL the people in the US, not just rich white folk. And that’s a tall fucking order from a country that has literally dropped bombs on black people’s homes and forced them to at gunpoint to burn to death in the building.

There have (especially lately) been a lot of times when it goes down.
My understanding is that Youtube has been changing the way they present or stream videos. I’m not familiar with the technical aspects, really, but Invidious is actively working on the issues.
For me, when I try to use it, it’s down maybe 10-20% if the time, but occasionally for longer stretches at once. Not a perfect solution, but another tool you can use to avoid Youtube directly

No, there are some crimes that deserve to be punished by death.
This is not to rehabilitate or reform, it’s to protect the rest of society.

Also it’s clearly cruel and unusual punishment, which we are forbidden from using.
I watch a court video the other day of a judge telling a young ‘offender’ that if he’s not careful, he will go to prison and get “passed around” by the other inmates. I thought to myself “This judge, who knowingly sends people to a place where he know they will get raped, is an affront to justice. What an immoral piece of shit who willingly works with a system that is contrary to our legally defined moral obligations.”
It’s like Spencer Tracy said in the movie Judgement at Nuremberg. The very first time a Judge sentences one person to such unconscionable punishment, that is when the Judge becomes fully complicit with the system. Not just complicit, but a necessary and willing part of the system’s survival and propagation.

There is no such thing as an “accidental discharge” when guns are involved.
Only “negligent discharges”

I bet I can guess what side of the issue Dad was on.

So this is a case of a Grand Jury not indicting a ham sandwich?

If I remember their statement correctly, they said it took threats to quit just to get ICE officials to respond to questions or requests from the court. Not obey, just to acknowledge the court.
