Ah, ok; so you don’t need to be from that region to have fans there… that’s what I thought.

When you tell me who Brazilian fans root for.

Apparently those reports were exaggerated in order to goad F1 into giving them development concessions in the name of safety.

If you wanted something for yourself, sure. F1 is still the major beneficiary from running a new race.

Irrelevant.

Well you’re the one who said Lewis should sponsor it; I figured you knew.

Ok, so if Zandvoort was able to finance a race on the basis of fan following alone without Max’s involvement, why can’t someone do the same here?

Alonso is embarrassing himself in thinking he can win a 3rd title because he managed to beat a nepo baby. There’s a reason the top teams aren’t even looking his way.

They didn’t ask Verstappen to sponsor the Dutch GP, so why does Lewis have to be the one financing or making the case for a race in a region where he has plenty of fans?

If Ferrari lives up to the hype, this truly cements Hamilton as the GOAT of career choices… the complete opposite of Alonso.

You’re about 5 years late to realizing FIA has no integrity…

Where do they store the pain?
It was financially different because FOM refused to establish a cost cap. So instead of introducing a solution that would allow Minardi to not only stay alive but to compete on an equal playing field, they fed them to the deep pockets of Mateschitz.
Capitalism!
I wonder if people are gonna keep making this comparison when Haas is rolling with a Toyota logo all over… why can’t people just admit that Red Bull is the only competitor allowed to control 2 teams?

Eh… Don’t love it. Hope they do better for the final livery
It’s normal because so many people are confused about it and how to use Fediverse services, particularly with all the options available. Like with Reddit you just go to reddit.com and you’re there. Even people who are on Mastodon (probably the most popular Fediverse app) might not know how to use Lemmy. It’s gonna take time for it to grow to Reddit levels. Meantime, best thing to do is advertise Fediverse accounts; share @FediTips@social.growyourown.services which has good guides on how to use the Fediverse (including Lemmy), share Lemmy posts on other media where possible, and maybe add some of your favorite communities on your Mastodon or other account profiles.

Crosspost away 👍️ anything that gets eyes on moving the platform forward is a positive in my book. Just let me know where you posted it so I can follow the discussion.

That’d be awesome. I know you’ve got a lot on your dev plate, but I think the feature would go a long way toward helping the usability and adoption of lemmy.

I was just wondering if there was a way to make a post with multiple pictures that you can navigate one at a time with the arrow buttons or clicking next, without them taking over your screen and having to scroll down to see them. So they wouldn’t be displaying all at once, which is the whole point.
I’m not a web development guy so I’m not familiar with the technical aspects of how it works or the limitations; I was only asking in case someone knew a way to do it, or if it was a planned feature in future versions of Lemmy.
Was Hamilton racing by himself in Brazil? By this logic, there are no F1 fans in Africa, or anywhere for the sport to expand into.
