Every ATM knows which bill has been distributed to which card holder. Said number is recorded again once it’s brought back to a bank - plus the account it’s deposited to.

Sure, you can’t trace each bill immediately, but as one doesn’t deposit or withdraw a single bill at a time, a large pile of data is created. And, with said pile: Patterns and connections. The rest is just Business Intelligence and Big Data Analysis. But, in the end and with sufficient data, one can determine each and every probable connection you might have had and each place you contacted for a transaction. Even those that do their very best to stay offline - everything hidden in the big data spiderweb data fields.

Anonymity is an illusion. It’s just a matter of time, effort and reason to look into one’s details. Don’t give them reason to suspect anything and they won’t use these tools…yet

I switched to an EV in 2019 whilst living in a flat. No chance to charge at home, very limited public charging opportunities, with the next public charger a 20 minute walk away and ONE fast charger on the other end of town, a 30 minute drive.

It did work despite all these issues. And now, 2026, charging is so much less of an issue. Almost every supermarket has some kind of Fast Charger available. Just look at it if it’s EnBW, MER, EWE or whatever else, pay the 5-10 Euros per month for their subscription and you’ll charge for almost the same price like home. And, as most of us go shopping at least once a week, that’s a huge nothingburger there.

Just give it a try. Maybe rent an EV is a good start. But be careful: Driving an EV is addictive. Once you’ve tasted it, you don’t want to go back

I’ve already activated Wero with my Revolt account. Three clicks and I was done.

Now I’m waiting for places where I can use it

…which is a pity, because Landliebe was and still is a very nice product. Plus their glass containers were ideal for handcrafting. But since they switched over to plastic, they’re quite crap and unusable…
