It shouldnt be in the first place, there were reports of pedophilia and child labor there
Yeah that marketing is the main reason why they dug themselves down into controversies
Closed source and aimed for kids, sorry
Already read its ToS
It will suffer the same fate as Roblox
Twitter -> Mastodon
Reddit -> Lemmy
YouTube -> PeerTube
Faceb**k -> Friendica
Roblox -> ___________
WE NEED AN ALTERNATIVE
At least you are off the tankie Lemmy instances. One more point for using MBin, which is better. There are other Lemmy instances that aren’t managed by them, e.g. lemmy.world; still that doesn’t prevent you from moving to MBin.
A Roblox alternative in the fediverse.
Because I want to get off Roblox.
But it does support chats/DMs, and there was an FEP for chat encryption
Sup software does this: https://github.com/thesupapp/server
Matrix 2.0 ActivityPub
Point proven before i could add: The chats should be encrypted (there’s an FEP somewhere)
Edit: now they made my point look wrong (it’s actually right), heres the sup server source code on how they implement it themselves: https://github.com/thesupapp/server
But you will have to do the hassle of making another account on each server
What I meant by “walled garden” is about federation and not commits, like look at the Signal app federation situation, they rejeted it because it might be confused with cyptocurrency, which I did hate because of its volatility

Sober uses the same method as mcpe-launcher
with android minecraft
No, it’s the same way as how mcpe-launcher
works with android minecraft
Codename starts with letter W.
are we nearing the end of android…?
ActivityPub does support extensions (looking at you, ForgeFed, as an example), but you can be right depending on which protocol they could choose
Actually not, it allows you to interact from different servers from a single account in one instance
Didn’t inted to say that anyway but my changes to thread body couldn’t be send to this community’s instance
I edited that out
Edit: I was typing that out because someone thought they would develop their games there
Interaction between accounts from different servers.
For example, you signed in to a minetest server on mt.example1.com
, then you want to play from another server in mt.example2.com
, you “tell” your account instance to play on the remote instance and afterwards you are playing in the world from another server from your account instance
From the remote instance’s perspective your character is in the world as “YourUsernameHere@mt.example1.com
”
As I can say, mainly for the ability for players to play/join the games being hosted on other instances
Its just the same concept as how they interact with posts on Mastodon
