Yeah that tracks from what I’ve seen. There were some very interesting new approaches that could improve the base framework of all generative AIs but at this time MoE is the one important improvement that Deepseek pioneeredfor LLMs. I wonder if throwing knowledge at the problem might actually net us a bit more of an elegant solution but MoE is kind of the only thing that helps us scale LLMs.

I wouldn’t say it’s over, in fact there’s so many great indie games that are based on only a few very simple mechanics.

I also wanna say the recruitment mechanic in legion was great but the variety of recruits was not. It got boring really quick.

Hateful is always a weird word imo because it describes that the Internet is full of hate, and I’m sure there’s lots of it. However, the Internet is vast and you will find too much of everything everywhere. So theres platforms with abnormal amounts of positivity and hate, but there’s also platforms for weird niches, platforms for scientific discourse and everything.

So generally I would say no to both. Lemmy tends to skew a bit towards Europe and towards elitist but that’s a very light skew and I’m still trying to assess tropes you find lots of on here. Well except for reddit hate. But that’s historical.

I have learned that communication and empathy between men and between women are very different. Other genders tend to have more complex dynamics.

I think women communicate their empathy more openly. Men usually hide their empathy in gestures or phrases. And I think it’s really hard to show empathy as a man and still “conform”, and as an outsider it’s hard to understand the way men show empathy.

That said I think you are right to some degree (although there is a better way to phrase it, hence the down votes), you are kinda limited in how much empathy you get from men because of the way they communicate. And if they show more, their non-conformity can pose a social risk that can be dangerous to their social acceptance / standing, although I might be speaking from my own perspective here as an AuDHD guy. Turns out when you have autism you are a walking risk so learning this is just a matter of time and risk is baked into every social interaction.

What I’m trying to say is: I think you are right, I think the reasons are very complex but I think bro culture needs an upgrade in that regard.

Experience was great - she was a good fit. Imo therapy is 90% having someone give you another perspective on things (if your environment is fked up, they can tell you what’s normal and what you can do or if you might be overlooking things they can point them out).

Idk your situation but generally I think ppl are in therapy either for the diagnosis, or because you wanna learn and change. So if you only want the diagnosis, limit it to that. If you wanna have therapy for the rest, first make sure you are ready to take someone else’s input and learn from that, but then if it doesn’t work, look for other therapists. Some therapists suck, or sometimes you can get stuck with therapists who don’t get you.

The only AAA game I could see pulling some traffic again is battlefield 6. And even that one’s a gamble - but so far open beta was surprisingly good.

Did both. Setting up your own VPN is a bit annoying but when it works it works. Tailscale is really easy and solid. For folder syncing I can recommend using tailscale and syncthing. Install both on both devices, then connect the devices in sync thing (it will reciprocate) and then you can add a folder and share it with the other device. Latency for syncing can be 10s-3min, plus the actual file transfer speed.

Knowledge level: configuring software and setting up software. Maybe some basic network troubleshooting if it comes up.

It’s never gonna be as easy as paying for a service that does it for you but this setup is also not that hard.
