@GunnarRunnar to be fair, the OP is not the one that asked for an explanation.
@scratch There is a translate feature built in, but it requires that your instance have configured it, since it utilizes a a third-party service for the translation. You reach out to your instance admin to ask about it.

I think they were more comparing the userbase of Mastodon against its corporate-owned alternatives, not to other fediverse apps.
@kiddblur Kinda, yeah.

And if you’re interested, you can pick up Assassin’s Apprentice, Royal Assassin, and Assassin’s Quest audiobooks on Chirp Books for $4 or less each.
@jay91 Group support appears to be in the works. In the mean-time, people on Mastodon can still follow group accounts and those group accounts will boost posts into their followers’ feeds. For example, that’s how I saw this post to reply to.
@MayonnaiseArch There are extensions which make it easier to interact with remote instances, like Roam With Mastodon. https://fo.llow.social/roam

Not Mastodon, but supposedly built on ActivityPub and plans to open federation some time in the future.

Death Gate Cycle is a classic, dragonlance-like fantasy. It takes itself noticeably less serious than WoT. But it’s pretty fun, good cast of characters.
It’s the first fantasy series I ever read so it holds a special place for me, even if WoT is my favorite.

I’ve read most of the Wheel of Time books more than anything else.
I recently did a reread of the Death Gate Cycle. Kinda felt like the prototype to the cosmere.
And recently reread the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy from Tad Williams
Checked out Silent Hill Ascension last night and yeah, was not impressed and doubt I’ll look at it again.
