Maybe, that’d be a smart cat
I think that’s part of the joke, it’s much too late to be having second thoughts
Oh looks like, whoops
I don’t speak enough German to know, but here’s what Wiktionary says:
- (geometry) angle (measure, figure)
- corner, nook
- chevron
Interesting that they mostly translate it to basic dog sounds, except for a few keywords. “You get a snack on your walk as a treat” is translated as “bark bark arf shmacko barkbark grrr walkies arf grrr treato”
Some thoughts from this Loops user on why the Fediverse matters. I’ve seen some people push back on the idea of “It’s like email, but for X”, but that way of explaining it really makes sense to me.
I agree with the thesis that centralization is bad. Centralization breeds concentration of power, and power corrupts, or something like that
Background noise like that is a pretty good signal that a loop isn’t just ripped from TikTok or other platforms, so it’s actually been useful for me. I’m a fan of loops that are just people posting “look at this cool thing I saw” without being overly made up
And that’s why ASPCA gets involved in Hollywood movies now, oof. I can’t find anything official, but searching for “food of the gods animal cruelty” gets search results about maybe they dismembered and/or drowned rats as well 😬
High protein snack right there 🐜 I’ve tried to get my dog interested in ants when they’ve swarmed at the surface, but he’s never cared about them. Think they’re just too small for him to care about.
It’s original to the OP, here’s a link to his Youtube version of the song:

He might be available on the Fediverse at @robertparker@pixelfedsweden.se, if that’s him and he’s checking the account. If so and you see this, thanks for posting to Loops, I’ve really appreciated them!
My guess would be vegans that don’t like seeing meat, but I also don’t really worry about downvotes in general so 🤷
Tags are coming soon, which I think would be equivalent:
In general, I think communities shouldn’t splinter until there’s a need. IMO both efforts should just use !fedigrow@lemm.ee, and title posts in a way that makes the distinction clear. They’re both about growing the Fediverse in the end. If and when it becomes too much to keep in the same comm, then you’d split it up. That’s just my opinion as an internet rando though 🤷
Looking at it in slomo, seems like they just squirted some liquid at it to scare it. From IMDB:
Many believe they actually shot rats (with something like pellet guns) for this movie. But if you look frame by frame, it is clear what is actually done is that they shot a high intensity squirt of fake blood, stunning the rat.
You should try out Tesseract (https://tesseract.dubvee.org/c/loops@midwest.social). It’s a generally great Lemmy UI, and also supports embedding loops as browser-native videos, giving you all the normal controls like volume/seeking/etc. The Loops dev has also said that there’s a new web UI coming soon, hopefully this weekend.
I discovered this by hanging out in the Discord, if you do a search for _
, you’ll get creators sorted by number of followers, which is a good place to start for interesting content. I’ve been enjoying @TheArtery for painting tips, @Willie for music and miscellanea, @sarcasmgenerator for weird humor bits, @Aerial_by_Emily_ for cool aerial performances, and @xqf4m@sopuli.xyz for cute Husky loops.
There should also be a web ui soon, as well as new and improved search. Hopefully this weekend, according to the dev
Was down for a bit but came back up pretty quickly. Not sure what happened
Love that they’re friends 😍 Did you bring the cat on a walk, or is this in a yard?
He’s a 14 year old Yorkiepoo, and still spry for his age. Speaking of finding food, he once found a whole turkey carcass in an alley when I was walking him the night of Thanksgiving. Sadly for him I couldn’t let him keep it, but I gave him a suitable replacement when we got home.
