nah, just a frequent visitor :)

haaa I was in a meeting with a bunch of people at 50 Lonsdale when news trickled in. That was fun! Meeting effectively abandoned, watched the announcement instead.
The pacing and character building are all wrong for something written for the screen: it’s like the writers are more concerned with ticking off the things that happen in the book, rather than allowing things to develop.
There’s too much “telling” of the world, rather than building, and it’s also like they’ve dropped you into the middle of these fully formed relationships between characters and expect you to empathise/understand.
So, perhaps if you know the world, characters and story it would be nice to see with some colour and movement.
I dont know if having loved the books would make the show better, or worse. I never read them, but one of the major problems of the show is that it is so very, very obvious that it comes from a book.
Wheel of Time…
you know when you start watching something, and you know it’s shit, but you have to keep going even though there’s more than one season??
that’s happening to me
ahhhhh briefs. every approver (and their assistant) likes them just sliiiiightly different.
Long walk was had pre-work this morning, smiling at all the other aging early risers. Love winter, but also live watching people re-emerge with smiling faces.
Can’t be arsed working now, though.
you are, of course, correct, and I am now in the bath. a good decision.
is it too late for a bath before bed?
did a lot of walking today, and feel a nice soak would do me good before sleep…
great show. haven’t caught the attest season, yet - waiting for a binge oportunity
anyone have an air con they are willing to recommend? thinking of getting one.
energy efficiency and lack of noise more important than cost.
I dont normally eat a lot of fruit, other than passionfruit from the garden, but mandarin this year has been delicious!
same going on at our place. actually doing some genuine spring cleaning, booked someone to take some rubbish away, given a bunch of old furniture etc away. very cathartic.
I know I’m way behind the curve, but just started playing Detroit: Become Human for the first time ever.
I’ve been flitting through games at the moment, not really able to settle (all the ones down loadable through my ps+ subscription), but this is actually great.
was out for a walk early this morning. after an hour, even with brisk walking, came home freezing cold, windblown and ever so slightly damp, wondering what I had been thinking.
am now reaping the benefits by working in trackies, my slippers, with a cuppa, feeling smug as my wife complains about having to leave the house while I have done my exercise and errands for the day and can remain toasty warm and comfy inside.
hmmm, intriguing. something to ponder, thanks!
thank you, will have a look
interesting - thanks, will check em out
Oh I always get the bún at that place! delicious. Had meant to get that today, but there was a huge queue by the time I got there. Had my sad leftovers instead.
