like, why do you care? it’s none of your business how others form their opinions. even though i agree that it can be healthy and probably a good thing, people still have no obligation to confront themselves with differing views.

the point of lemmy is being libre. i enjoy customizing my content instead of just being fed by an algorithm. its just neat having the ability of creating an echo chamber, even if thats not what you want. people should be able to absorb opinions in the way they want
just block the anime meme communities if they bother you, the point of lemmy is to have a personalised experience

Late Stage Capitalism@lemmy.world•Wage theft remains a pervasive issue costing workers an estimated $50 billion annually
22·11 days agoit is not. having to work less is not fundamentally a bad thing. the problem is that the people will not get paid the same for working less, even if there is not as much work to be done
it totally does have tab groups, it had them for a long time edit: what i meant is collections, and i think thats something different from tab groups
i grew up with gnome, switched to plasma because i used a steam deck as my main computer for a few years. im just so used to the workflow in plasma, and while i would really love to switch to hyprland, its just too big of a hassle to set it up and learn everything. luckily i found out about krohnkite, so i can at least have some tiling in plasma, but not in the way hyprland does it. i would love it, if it split the focused window
hdr really doesnt work on most desktop enviroments. have you tried using gamescope though? you can just install gamescope-session-cachyos that will make it so you can select it from the login manager. gamescope automatically does sdr to hdr conversion which looks really good in most games. what still doesnt really work (for me at least) is games that output native hdr. they look very washed out and way too bright. but imo sdr to hdr, which gets way brighter, is still a win
its still not yours. you cant do whatever you want with it. you cant see everything it does
more than 90%. pretty much everything except some of the big multiplayer games. also i think roblox runs on linux
this “non corporate” store still exploits its workers in the same way walmart does. theres no way to justify that without also justifying the actions of “big corpos” or whatever. we need principles to achieve progress and cant just draw the line somewhere random
i hope this is ragebait
i literally paid 500 bucks for a sim racing setup i used for 2 weeks

11·1 month agothat’s especially true since games just kinda stopped looking better imo. i think 2014-2019 was the peak of game graphics, i just can’t stand that smeary ai upscaled temporal anti-aliasing look, i prefer msaa or just plain ssaa, it looks so much crisper
how would they change their wallpaper if they only use cli?

I think it’s a good thing that I could just choose to not deal with you anymore. I like having the option to choose the people I interact with and I think everybody should have that option. Also, thanks for sharing your views on existence and life.
