I really just need the audio. I’ve watched older Trek so much that I’ve half-memorized the dialogue. It would be nice just to have the audio in the background while I’m working.
East Liverpool and Circleville are almost 200 miles apart from each other.
It looks like Lemmy.world communities do not get regularly indexed on search engines. Is this because of the system architecture, or is it for some other reason?
It’s amazing how much batteries have increased in price since Covid.
Thanks for reminding everyone of this. The gas savings over time will probably end up being the same, or less, than a starter on an older vehicle. Of course, if you’re not planning on keeping the vehicle until it dies, this is less of an issue for you.
The dog we adopted doesn’t do well with other dogs. He was a stray pickup, so I think he may be been on the streets for a little while and something happened with some other dogs. He’s perfectly
Back pre-covid, I found the convenience of next-day and same-day shipping to be worth it. During and since Covid, though, it seems like actual delivery dates are a real crapshoot. You shop as a Prime Member, see next-day shipping, order, and the next-day shipping magically changes to 2 days from now. You then get the package 3-4 days later.
When you order the same product as non-Prime, the shipping date shows a week out but you end up actually receiving it a couple days early. So in many if not most cases the “faster” shipping is non-existent, so why bother being a prime member?
Not being a Prime member now, I find myself price-shopping more now, instead of just blindly ordering on Amazon to justify my Prime membership.
I deleted my account as part of the Great Reddit Exodus of 2023 but have periodically visited the site since without an account.
Many of the posts I see now seem really sensationalist and almost like they were created by bots. Of course, maybe Reddit was always that way and it just some time being away for me to realize that.
