The question is: does it make sense for the government to ban abortions, just to kill ppl with vaccines on the other hand?

Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•This arcade stick uses the forbidden type A to type A cable
8·6 months agoThe cable itself won’t do any damage. The problem is, what ppl do with it. Also if you plug it into a socket, you get a super secure not dangerous at all live wire to touch on the other side.

Formula 1@lemmy.world•Domenicali defends F1's Monaco GP tyre change rule after drivers' criticism
13·6 months agoMy suggestion for Monaco: the drivers are positioned equidistantly around the track and then everyone races 78 laps of Monaco. The starting position is also each drivers individual finish line/timing line.
There is no SC, only VSC (to avoid bunching up the pack) and red flags (obv.). After the red flag each driver is put back in their previous position by the VSC timing delta.
So if you try to block ppl, they end up in front of you.

If I understand this correctly, this means more natural track limits. So going over the line will punish the drivers automatically.

Totally agree! Also ppl like to bash on elderly persons. Statistically speaking you are most likely to be hit by a young or middle aged man.

Formula 1@lemmy.world•F1 tyre supplier Pirelli responds after borefest Japanese GP
111·7 months agoI don’t understand your take: F1 is now closer together (from P1 to P20) as it has never been before. Yes you still see the similar guys at front, however every mistake is costly.
I think one of the reason of the bore fest of the last 2 races, was (besides the tyre stuff) how similar the cars have become and how hard it is to make a difference when you want to overtake someone.
