If more and more Americans go out of work, less people will be able to afford door dash, and those who can still afford door dash will probably spend less or tip less too. You’ll also be competing with more and more people who need that tip because they’re looking for extra door dash work.

I’m hoping more people go back to not using these delivery apps and just do pickup or delivery through the actual restaurant. It’s cheaper for me, all of the money goes to the restaurant, and it’s faster and I know my food is right because I’m the one who picked it up and checked. After you experience waiting an hour for a delivery and they still get it wrong, you wonder why you’re doing this. What’s the point when I could pick that same food up for less cost in half the time? Is delivery that important of a feature that you’re willing to sometimes double the cost of your order just so you don’t have to get off the couch?

Not saying people shouldn’t deliver. I still use it when I’m sick and don’t wanna spread it, there’s definitely a place for this service, but the experience, cost, and value are all out of whack, in my opinion.

I think it’s good the machine is not super powered. If people stop buying the latest gpus so often, then devs will need to optimize their games or target weaker hardware.

I’ve been running Bazzite on a Framework Desktop 64gb and it’s a beast of a little machine.

Honestly way more expensive than I would ever recommend for anyone who’s using it solely for gaming. You could make something just as good, but bigger, for less. Or you could build something good enough and small for way less, depending on the performance you’re trying to hit. But if you’re in that sweet spot where you want a lot of power in a tiny package, it won’t disappoint. You’d be hard pressed to find anything as close in performance and size for a lesser price.

Plus side, you got a lot of vram if you wanna play with local LLMs.

It’s looking like the steam machine is gonna hit that sweet spot of being ‘good enough’ while being small and probably fairly priced.

If it only helped people like you, I’d have no problems with that.

You did not claim they “pulled away” from MAGA. You claimed they were “pushed out”

Both things are happening. I’m not moving any goal posts, you’re just trying to catch me on something I said in a comment because you’re stuck on semantics and needing to be right. But I’m not arguing against what you’re saying. I also hope more pull away. I hope as many people as possible abandon MAGA.

I’m trying to say there’s part of the MAGA base actively pushing women out. People talking about abolishing women’s suffrage, larping as trad-wives and generally doing everything they can to treat women like objects and not people. These things push women away.

Other conservative women see these things and also willingly pull away from MAGA. Both things can happen. Some people in the maga movement absolutely are reducing women to just their biological sex. But don’t get mad at me for it, I’m just trying to talk about it.

What made them pull away from MAGA? Would it happen to be issues that impact women more than men? Everything becomes a loyalty test to authoritarians, it just happens to start with the fringe groups. The minorities within their own ranks. Women happen to be just that.
