I am pretty alright with spatial reasoning but have a hard time with left and right. Especially in multitasking scenarios. When driving during complicated situations and in unknown environments for example. I always get my guide to point or have a look at the nav.

Read the magicians after watching the series and it was such a drag. As mentioned in the Amazon ratings the writing style is just tedious to read… The emotional extent of the series was so much deeper in my opinion.

Thought the same thing. Over time I replaced everything in my laptop that I could and specifically chose a laptop that is easyish to open and get parts for.

I would love for a better processor and graphics card but the mainboard and power supply does not allow for better hardware. So I will need to buy a different laptop some day. If it were as easy as ordering new parts and putting it in there without fear of incompatibility I would love that.

I don’t know about 20 years ago but it loads pretty fast on my 200€ phone.

Edit: you will need a Bluetooth controller for your phone though. I would classify the on-screen controls are terrible.

Because maps for naval navigation are based on degrees latitude and longitude. So if you travel at sixty nautical miles per hour in latitudinal direction on this globe you will end up one degree further away from where you started. Angles are important in naval applications as well as aeronautical because ships and airplanes can and mostly do travel in straight lines.

One nautical mile is equal to 1.852 km good luck using that kind of number and converting it to meaningful information on the fly.

With digital systems it is of course not as important anymore (also they are using the metric definition and converting it to nautical miles internally) but courses are still plotted by hand on maps (eg. as a backup solution if your digital system goes belly up). Having a measuring system where one unit corresponds to something meaningful with little need to pronounce decimals all of the time seems like a good idea to me.

So for example you can travel 111.12km in latitudinal direction or 60 nautical miles which is equal to one degree latitudinal distance.

60 is properly divisible by 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 12 and so on so it makes quick mental calculations easier.

The unit just makes sense for the application it is designed for.

Tablespoons are the largest spoons used for eating but according to the term is now used by many english speaking regions the same way as serving spoon. 15 ml in volume typically

Dessertspoons are used primarily for desserts but also for soup and other stuff. 10ml in volume typically

Teaspoons are used to stir tea and coffee. 5 ml in volume typically.

I only know serving spoons, tablespoons and teaspoons. Desert spoons are in the middle and I have probably a similar sized spoon but never known there is a difference. To me it is a smallish tablespoon. But that is where the confusion is coming from. For some the scale just shifted up or down depending on the way you are looking at it.

That was a big point of controversy with my childhood school friends, actually.

I was firmly part of team table spoon. Some of my friends would use teaspoons. I always regarded that kind of strange behaviour as first sings of psychopathy.

No one I know uses dessertspoons for every day use. Maybe some own some but it is most likely the fancy table silver kind of thing that will only get used once or twice a year.

Personally I have never heard about them before today.

If it is based on some kind of arbitrary definition and conversions between units of the same measuring system is hard we should do away with it.

Recently had a Stress strain chart which had lbs/inch² as a unit. Also measuring anything small in imperial is just cursed. 5/16 * 10^-2 inches. Wtf. Also mil and thou. Just adopt metric already.

Was Depressionen angeht kann ich nur Therapie anbieten. Es ist sinnvoll sich seinen Problemen und Herausforderungen mit der Hilfe anderer (professionell ausgebildeter) zu stellen.

Was folgt bezieht sich auf meine Erfahrung und kann für dich völlig fehl am Platz sein. Ich möchte es trotzdem da lassen. Ich bin lange selber so eingestellt gewesen. Ich hab so viel verpasst oder nicht in Gänze Erleben können dadurch. Das beräuhe ich hart. Ich war nicht für einige Freunde da. Habe mich zeitweise isoliert. All das hat nicht geholfen sondern es eher schlimmer gemacht. Gerade im Kontext einer Depression.

Jetzt zu meiner Meinung zum Thema bester Freund/in Ich unterscheide und habe schon immer unterschieden in Freunde und Bekannte. Einen besten Freund/beste Freundin hatte ich nie. Freunde kenne ich lange. Sie haben bewiesen, daß sie für mich da sind und ich bin sehr gerne für sie da. Sie genießen einen gehörigen Vertrauensvorschuss. Ich muss nicht alles verstehen was sie tun oder muss es gut heißen können. Essentiell wenn mir eine Entscheidung WIRKLICH nicht passt ist für mich, dass sie ihre Entscheidung überdacht oder reflektiert haben. Sachen wie Fremdgehen, leute hintergehen, illegale Sachen tun. Wenn ich überzeugt bin sie haben das für ihr persönliches Glück getan, leben danach ein besseres Leben für sich selber oder bereuen es kann ich das ganz gut akzeptieren. Ich bin immer wieder irritiert was ander als beste Freunde vorstellen und habe gelernt nach meiner Definition “Bekannte” als Freunde vorzustellen.

So gern ich die Aktionen der LG habe und sehen will: der Umgang mit den Daten aus solchen Kontaktformularen wäre mir seit der Geschichte in Bayern einfach maximal zu heikel. Da helf ich lieber indem ich einfach vor Ort was mache und bin nicht in irgendeiner “Datenbank”.

Hirschtalg Creme wurde bereits irgendwo erwähnt. Ich kauf die von dm. Habe schon mehrfach Komplimente für meine gepflegten (weichen) Füße bekommen. Mache da nix außer gelegentlich die Creme drauf. Hilft auch beim laufen gehen oder wandern. Keine Blasen mehr.

Meine Lenovo t430 leistet mir seit ewig gute Dienste. Vorher hatte ich den x200. Auch toll. Kann man selber mit ein wenig Geschick auseinander nehmen und warten. Die Dockingstations sind auch günstig.

Mein Moser 1233 zum Haare schneiden. Bin inzwischen der feste Friseur von 2 Freunden und habe zig anderen auch Mal einen schnellen Haarschnitt verpasst.

Mein Silikonteigschaber. Ich mach alles mit dem Ding. Kochen, Braten, Brote mit Aufstrich schmieren. Habe verschiedene Größen. Am liebsten sind mir die mit Metallkern, voll Silikonummantelung und glatter Klinge.

Unzufrieden bin ich mit meinem Rucksack. Habe den the north face recon weil ich das Netzfach auf der rückseite praktische finde aber hasse die Innenaufteilung von Hauptfach in das die kleineren Organisationstaschen reinragen. Ich brauche ein Laptopfach, ein organisations und Wertsachenfach, flascheneinschübe und ein Einschubfach wie dieses Netz. Hatte vorher einen pinqponq aber die Qualität ist (war) absoluter murx. Hat da wer einen heißen Tip?
