The other day I realized they did that because its APPle. I have no evidence but I’m sticking with it
Por when you think about it for more than one second. You went to school. If it wasn’t paid out of taxes it would have had (not a native English speaker, imnot sure if have had is right) to be paid LITERALLY out of your own pocket
I’m know that. I’m not arguing that detailed is better. It’s the post that is arguing that, with it’s implied “I can’t believe that thing got the first place”.
My point is that better is better no matter how it’s made. It could be pretty or ugly, made with paint or digital, AI or no AI
People: “omg why are you using AI to make a picture of a frog. Just grab a pen and paper and whatever you do will be better than what AI can generate” Also people: “lol. This pen and paper drawing is awful. I can’t believe it won Against this high quality obviously better detailed drawing of a frog”
My neurologist started me on some meds and expects me to go back every moth to get a new prescription. That’s not happening. It’s the second time I’ve run out of meds for mor than a month.
Also she says that ADHD can be treated with a 6 months treatment (which i interpet as “it can be cured”), which I’m not sure it can and says that Ritalin is for children while someone I know tells me that’s not true
Afaik when talking about computers you can be charged by acessing some thing (a site or a feature) that you know you are not supposed to. The same logic may apply here. If you got into an hotel, the unit was lockedand you used some trick to get it to do what you want, it could be illegal. They do not need a sign
The people that voted for “people” get a (small) payout.
Up next: the Taliban authorities indecisive about it’s next move, after people start betting on what they’ll ban next
notarobot@lemm.eeto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•GitHub - gardner/LocalLanguageTool: Self-hosted LanguageTool private instance is an offline alternative to GrammarlyEnglish424·12 days agoKind of offtopic: Can we call something offline if you need a server to run it?
Sure, you could run it on your own PC and that’s it, but I don’t think that method fit well with this community
My evil master plan was changing the continent’s name. You can have that one or admit that your “name” is ours too
I think I’m hitting a bit of a language barrier. What i understand is that they told you not to callt hem Americans? I feel like I need context. I wouldn’t want to be called American in public to avoid confusion. But not in that context
I’m from south america. That’s why this thing bothers me
Edit because I now realized I should have said more: correct. No one here call themselves American but not because they deserve it but because it causes confusion. Instead we call you Yankees, because if you say american everyone gives you sideeye
This a better answer. I always replied “im going to set up a country and name it ‘the country that is not the united states of america’ so that I can be an american too”
The US love calling itself “America” . the argument I always (from non us people) hear is that “every country uses the last word of it’s name”. So if you change their name, remember to refer to it as " child" and the citizens as children
