  • Exactly this! If fascists have a strong support from the imperialist through extensive weapon manufacturing, they can outlast any guerrilla in the region unless the guerrilla have a strong backing from another power such as the case of the DPRK during the Korean war where Mao’s son died or invasion of Vietnam.

If we take the conditions now, there are very few regions where the guerrilla can defeat the local capitalists. However, that is not the case for plenty of regions of this world(ex latin america).

  • Will that due respect, (at least in Latin America) it is not weakened enough to allow guerrilla warfare. As evidence of this, you can see the strategies of the SOUTHCOM in the region and how countries like Perú(with Dina Boluarte, which is a product of a coup), Ecuador(with the american citizen Daniel Noboa that is pushing to bring US troops into the country again), Argentina(Javier Milei) and Chile are constantly using the drug war as an excuse to oppress indigenous people with the aid of US dollars. Peru recently even bought new F-16 aircraft from the USA.

Once again, guerrilla warfare is not a good choice if the region’s local capitalists are still experiencing a strong imperialist backing. If we use Mao as an example, he even made the choice to fight alongside the Kuomintang to repel the strong japanese imperialists that were storming the region. That’s why it is important to analyze the principal contradiction and how to successfully resolve it with a pragmatic point of view.

  • That same Milei will find a way to blame it on anyone except his gov’t. Honestly, it is impressive how strong is propaganda in favor of Milei from the USA. Amerikkka was capable of putting makeup on this libertarian scum and sell it successfully to the masses.

I can only imagine if we had that advertisement power on our side to promote solutions(medicine, education, literally anything). The world will certainly be better.

Also, how do you figure the Palestine situation would have gone under Trump, who is the actual guy who reversed 70 years of foreign policy to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and made West Bank settlements legal? How do you think that situation develops the day after Trump wins again?

    >

I’m less worried about what will change if people vote for Biden (which hey, I’m actually pretty sure whatever change happens will be for the better, as it has been this term).

Fo whom will those changes be for the better according to you? As far as we have all seen, Biden is just as bad as Trump, and is facilitating war and Genocide. Also, if we check for the details, only white people are benefiting from Biden as this other person clearly posted here: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/3608106/3622954.

Also, you haven’t answered my question. What is the name of “this actually fascist” country that you are referencing?

  • As a person from a country that was actually fascist within living memory, the US cosplay left is infuriating.

Which country are you referring to?

Go vote for Biden in November. Seriously.

Why? Will something change if people vote for Biden? Last time I checked, Biden is the one that is facilitating a genocide in Palestine.

  • There was a similar question being discussed here -> https://lemmygrad.ml/comment/4185356

I will quote the comrade as a quick TLDR:

100K debt to the american gov’t only matters if you ever plan to use credit in America. Paying off these people’s debt just allows them to return to America and use their education to buy a house in America, get a job in America, and support the American empire.

Also it’s especially funny if the reason they can’t return is entirely because America decided to saddle the very people they need to function with undischargable debt they have no hope of paying back.

  • In all likelihood, the consequences of not paying your debt will only apply in the country where you incurred that debt. Realistically, INTERPOL’s not coming after you because you didn’t pay off your credit cards.

You could “get away with it,” in a sense. There are limits to what creditors will do to recover their money. They may file a lawsuit against you and try to get whatever they can out of your assets in the United States. But they’re not going to chase you abroad. If they do try, that will mean to waste way too much money and that will defeat the purpose of being in that debt collection industry for a profit.
