Anyone else have pink eye? It just went through our house and the pharmacist said she has seen a tenfold of bacterial pink eye compared to usual.
Randall’s bread has gotten me before. Luckily the cashier saw the mold before he scanned it.
They just released the schedule https://www.aclfestival.com/schedule
Any story that includes “It was the 80s” is going to be fun.
Whale Watching is our favorite. Bandit and Chilli are hungover from a new years party but they still have to parent. That’s how the first two years of parenting felt for us due to the lack of sleep.
Not a question but I did want to share something I experienced this weekend. We’re in south Louisiana this weekend and the heat index was 114. This did not feel the same as Austin with a heat index of 114. For those with family/friends in the south that act like they’re experiencing the same weather, tell them a lemmy user said it’s not true. I wish this is what Austin felt like.
Not to give them any ideas but it seems like the only way around this is to create a division that handles the reviewing for the state. At some point, they realize they can’t keep up with the requests and so they turn to AI to review books. Then authors get creative to bypass the ai model and the state creates another silly law.
My condolences
They’ll release the schedule around mid-August. You can buy the shirt while you’re there. Also, around the time that they release the schedule, they’ll also announce late night shows around Austin. Attend one with your favorite artist. It’s much more intimate than ACL since you’ll be in a small venue. These days, I skip ACL and only attend late night shows.
Virtualbox all the way. That way, she can still run her day to day apps in macOS while only using virtualbox for the class. And here’s the best part - once she reaches the point where she knows the setup she likes, she can create a new VM and set it up cleanly and delete the old one. I would only use the boot camp option if she will need to connect to hardware. VirtualBox can be finicky when it comes to USB devices.
I switched to Atomic over 4 years ago and it’s the only brand I buy now. I don’t like wasting plastic and I know Atomic will print perfectly for me. If there’s an issue, it was my printer’s fault.
I thought I was rural but you’re a whole different level
March 11th seems like a good candidate
I’m in Texas so of course I’m choosing the one with an A/C. Weather aside, I’d go with the carnival.
This. I use white nail polish so that I can still let some light through. It’s a great dimmer.
My wife used to take classes at atxpottery. They fill up quick which means you’re looking at winter classes being the earliest. If you’re in South Austin, Mud Studio is an option. South Austin studios typically have more openings than North Austin. People have mentioned classes at The Contemporary Austin being great but your mileage may vary.
We have 77 years to figure out how to fix 35.
The timeline for starting new construction is 2025. The bridge must be in really bad shape for them to limit traffic 1.5 years out.
