You can reply with just the word “disengage” in our instance and the other person has to disengage or gets moderated.
when a website password breeds
I didn’t know passwords could reproduce, is that how password generators work? /j
“Permanently locked bootloader” means you can’t unlock the bootloader so you can flash a different OS. If you can’t unlock the bootloader, you can’t flash. A lot of phones are like this, like Samsung’s galaxy series. I got really fucked by Samsung with the S10 because of this. You need to buy a specific type of phone and security patch if you want to flash. I went with the Pixel bought unlocked from Google so I could use GrapheneOS. It was very easy to unlock the bootloader and then relock it back. I noticed you said the pixel does not have good reception in your country, I would look more into this before going with it if this is the case.
What about something like Posteo or Mailbox? I’ve heard self-hosting email is hard for newbs, so I’ve been thinking of getting a domain and connecting it to something like the above. Getting a domain does reveal your identity, but email is also not really private. Also do you have a domain registar recommendation for email?
I currently have Proton unlimited, but I really only need the VPN for obvious reasons. While I do use the drive, I also have filen. For passwords I use a mix of Bitwarden and Keepass. I do use the hell out of simple login, but that can be replaced with Addy or something else. So I don’t really need Proton unlimited.
Can you put a content warning for gore on your comment? Sorry to ask, but there are annoying, rather pathetic anti-vegan trolls that try to get vegans banned. You can show prepared meals with meat in them or even raw processed meat, but not the actual process. Don’t want people to have feelings when they look at meat after all. Unfortunately if you mention veganism outside of a vegan community, you will attract this troll.
I use !summit@lemmy.world. It has keyword filters for posts and comments, handy for triggers. It also has a history function so I can search for a post I saw earlier easily. It displays everything pretty perfectly, you aren’t going to have problems like spoilers not displaying correctly. It was one of the first apps to get moderator tools, so you can check reports. You can also tag users. There’s a lot of customization options and gestures. And all of it is free and the app is still being updated with an active dev.
I would ignore the people who are vehemently against AI and just do what makes you happy. Most of the time, they are just looking for a fight. I recently commented about how AI allows some disabled people to create art, but many people assume only able-bodied people are using AI. That was a mistake. I soon had some people recommending ways for me to make art without AI, and they would not work for my disability, of course. I had one person say if I’m able to type this comment, shouldn’t I be able-bodied enough to make art? My favorite is when a person said look at this disabled person paint using their mouth and another disabled person with low vision that is legally blind both create art and put down any disabled people who need AI, because they don’t need AI. Must be nice to live without the constant burden of a disability that prevents you from doing the things you enjoy. I’ve been shamed so many times for being disabled since I was a teen, disabled people do not need extra shaming.
A lot of people have given you advice so I just want to say that you are not a bad person and I am sorry you are going through this. I had a somewhat similar mentality and it takes time to break it. You went through trauma and it was never resolved. None of this was your fault. 🫂
Medicare is federal health insurance for people 65 or older, and some people under 65 with certain disabilities or conditions. A person’s Medicare coverage will be the same no matter what state they live in. People with Medicare pay part of the costs through things like monthly premiums for medical and drug coverage, deductibles and coinsurance.
Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that helps cover medical costs for some people with limited income and resources. The federal government has general rules that all state Medicaid programs must follow, but each state runs its own program. Eligibility requirements and benefits can vary from state to state.
Medicaid offers benefits that Medicare doesn’t normally cover, like nursing home care and personal care services. People with Medicaid usually don’t pay anything for covered medical expenses but may owe a small co-payment for some items or services.

As others said, you would have to message the mods of the community or admins of the instance that banned you. Looking at your modlog, I don’t think these can all be overturned since some are too blatant. But I guess you won’t know until you try. In the future, only participate in communities you are interested in after having read the rules, otherwise it just seems like your intentions were to troll.
You can view your modlog here:
Have you read the rules and guidelines? I am inclined to lock this until the other mods are active. You’ve broken quite a few of them.
Posting Guidelines
All posts should follow this basic structure:
Which mods/admins were being Power Tripping Bastards?
What sanction did they impose (e.g. community ban, instance ban, removed comment)?
Provide a screenshot of the relevant modlog entry (don’t de-obfuscate mod names).
Provide a screenshot and explanation of the cause of the sanction (e.g. the post/comment that was removed, or got you banned).
Explain why you think its unfair and how you would like the situation to be remedied.
Rules
Post only about bans or other sanctions that you have received from a mod or admin.
Don’t use private communications to prove your point. We can’t verify them and they can be faked easily.
Don’t deobfuscate mod names from the modlog with admin powers.
Don’t harass mods or brigade comms. Don’t word your posts in a way that would trigger such harassment and brigades.
Do not downvote posts if you think they deserved it. Use the comment votes (see below) for that.
You can post about power trippin’ in any social media, not just lemmy. Feel free to post about reddit or a forum etc.
If you are the accused PTB, while you are welcome to respond, please do so within the relevant post.
Thank you for the kind words 😊

I had surgery last week. Nothing major or serious, but enough to immobilize me during recovery. I am already disabled with chronic pain so having even more pain that made me unable to get out of bed or use the bathroom without help was rough. I have recovered to the point I am more independent and it feels good to push through recovery. I did a lot of sleeping and resting and am feeling much better than when recovery started. I am still going to be recovering for another week or so, but it does feel good to have survived all of this (so far). It also gave me an appreciation that my usual chronic pain could always be worse, to really appreciate the things I can do rather than linger on what I cannot.
I do not have personal recommendations for curling irons as I don’t use irons, but I will say you want one that has great temperature regulation (so it does not burn your hair which might mean paying more money). I picked up a second-hand dyson blow dryer a while back because of the temperature regulation on it, it never burned my hair but I did feel like it was hot even on low so I had to move it around a lot. You always want to use a heat protection product when using high heat (which curling irons, flat irons, etc. do). It should say it protects up to 400° F, I believe 266° F is the temperature when hair actually burns. I tried the CHI products and liked it, these products will generally have silicone or something else with low thermal conductivities to protect your hair. Look for something made for flat ironing.
I follow lab muffin a lot (this is her article on heat protectants), and it does seem like your hair will still get damaged this way. I use K18 which might help your hair feel less damaged, my hair is just naturally fragile so I use it. My hair is curly, I find that heatless curl methods make it more wavy but I am not sure if they work on straight hair.
I love chao from sonic, so these guys:
