Hi, I would like to add another user as a moderator in a community I currently moderate - is there a menu or tool for this? Please help.

    Have them comment in the community somewhere and then you can select from the 3 dots on the end of their comment, then select “Appoint as Mod”

    It’s not intuitive.

    The moderator candidate must submit a post or comment to the community. Then, from your moderator account, you find the post or comment, expand the post/comment options, and there will be an action item called “appoint as mod”.

    Not sure how many mobile apps support that action yet, so best to just use the browser for this.

      Yep, I’m trying it all in browser. One day someonywill decide to incorporate it to an app. I use Connect.

        Its whichever account is assigned as the mod in the community. If you only have one account/instance, then you don’t need to do anything special.

          Right thanks for the help. I think the member also needs to have an account in the specific instance of the community, but I’m almost there now!

            You can appoint mods from other instances. Here is a screenshot of Ukraine’s mod list, notice how only one mod is registered to the instance where the community is hosted:
