I got shadowbanned on Reddit for no reason(not even got a message), and I miss two specific communities. One is for achievement hunting on Steam, and the other one was a little community of people that struggle with selfharm - like I do. Does anybody know of a community like that? Sorry if that question is weird or something, I couldn’t find such a “sub”, but I thought it’s prolly 'cuz i’m dumb. Sry, still new to Lemmy! :D
I suppose you could use the “community search” option in your client of choice, but I’d imagine there wouldn’t be many that fit the definition. I found a few self-help ones though, and there are communities dedicated to uplifting stuff.

Mental health support: https://midwest.social/c/mentalhealthsupport
Thank you very much! Sadly those communites are pretty dead. :/ I hate that I got shadowbanned on Reddit only for this reason. Lemmy is too small to vent to a community that has the same mind as you, and now I feel like some trust-person is missing in my life. It’s soo dumb and weird, but yeah… sorry about that dumb question and thanks for the great answer!
I want to say, your question isn’t dumb at all. As someone that used to do it and still have thoughts on occasion, I’m glad to know I’m not alone that does it.
!mentalhealth@lemmy.world is much more active and as long as you marked your post NSFW and added Self-Harm trigger warning on your post title, they will allow it and hopely you will get some help.
Check out the mental health community that MonsterTrick posted. It’s fairly active!
Despite there not being a lot of activity in the communities mentioned in the comments here, I think posting there might still yield some results. Even if just a single individual engages with you, that single individual may very well turn out to be a great conversation partner.
I’ve personally had some quite deep and dark conversations myself, and one good individual can in many cases be “sufficient”.
I hope that you find some cool people out there, and keep up the hunt for achievements in both games and life!
All of Lemmy is an act of self harm… 😩
I should be working
Why not start and mod the community yourself. If you build it, they will come.
What sub is this about self harm?
r/madeofstyrofoam Love all people there.
