Oh. Ok. What if we started hanging the coast guard, and leaving nooses on their ships.
Would they consider them symbols of hate then?
The noose can only be a symbol of two things. Suicide, or hate. I start to devalue anyones opinion when they stop having empathy for hate crimes until it happens to “their” people.
And the swastika? Explain how thats NOT a symbol of hate.
Go on.
Explain it.
I got time.
I’m hourly.
And the swastika? Explain how thats NOT a symbol of hate.
According to the bots and idiots on Instagram, Charlottesville is full of armed incels who are REALLY into Hinduism
Technically the swastika is a religious symbol that was appropriated by the Nazis for hate. It’s still used today by Buddhism to represent the divine.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
But no, i very much doubt that’s what they’re thinking about.
Actually, if you want to go down that route, you have to flip the swastika, like a mirror.
That’s not true. Swastikas can come in either orientation.
But even Buddhists refrain from using swastikas nowadays because the Nazis ruined them for everybody.
I believe both directions have been used in different cultures. Don’t quote me on that one though.
Both are used.
And outside of historical usage and landmarks that have them already. Most cultures, religions and countries now avoid the swastika and only use the sauvastika aka the left facing one.
So seeing the right facing swastika is still common in many places in India, China, Japan and other locations. New developments basically won’t see use of it at all with out EXTREMELY unique reasons.
Cause the Nazis literally ruined it for everyone.
