A dream come true. Got to see my favorite movie, Blade Runner: The Final Cut on 35mm print at Million Dollar Theater in Download Los Angeles. The venue itself is significant for being seen in the movie and the neighborhood being where the movie was set and filmed. Directly across the street is The Bradbury, which many scenes were filmed in.
The Bradbury is a building primarily used for coworking spaces, so it is closed to the public. During open hours you can go into the lobby. Part of the building itself is a Blue Bottle cafe, so you can get coffee during the day.

My first thought: “730p? What a shitty and odd resolution. How do you get that low from a 35mm film?”. Then I realized it is the beginning time.
Sounds like a great experience. Blade Runner is such a good movie.
Secret Movie Club, the event organizer, hope that they can make this an annual screening in the month of November (which the movie is set). On top of that they want to do a double feature with Blade Runner 2049.
Incredible. I’m glad you got that experience 😊 How big of a difference would you say the 35mm made? It’s probably been a while since I’ve seen projected film, unfortunately.
It felt the way hearing a music record does when you’ve been streaming and finally hear it on vinyl.
Dang I actually looked at that theater tonight but didn’t see what was playing. I ended up at the regal watching a different dystopian future movie. I would have rather seen blade runner
Can I ask which dystopian future movie you saw?
Running man
Are there still old original 35mm films in circulation? Or is this a digital to film transfer?
