So there are quite a few domains I would not like to see in my main feed. Mainly because I am not interested at all or do not speak the language. What I have tried is the following; going to the domain, for example feddit.de:

https://kbin.social/d/feddit.de

And then activate the block button which should block the whole domain feddit.de, right? But that does not work at all unfortunately and I still get posts from that domain in my feed. This is especially infuriating with all the furry stuff I REALLY do not want to see. So is this a technicality still, or am I doing it wrong? Any ideas or solutions?

I think the block works. Your feed is probably cached. Try logging in later on in the day and seeing if you see any new posts from there. You probably won’t.

I’ve blocked the domains in question days ago and still see new posts, from all of them. So something seems broken…

I’m pretty sure that would just block links to that domain, not posts to magazines/communities on that domain - same as reddit.

However, since “articles” get created on the instance’s domain with Lemmy and Kbin, I think it would have the effect of blocking articles, but not links.
