    No, between Trump’s made-up fentanyl pouring in to the US from Canada and Tucker Carlson’s rhetoric about invading to save the Canadian people from their own leaders (https://piefed.ca/c/canada/p/409210/tucker-carlsons-canada-invasion-rhetoric-and-the-maga-fracture) there’s good reason to believe they’ll invade in the near future. They’ve spoken before about the need to secure the continent.

        Imperialism is often seen as a compelling solution to the absolute failure of tyrants to govern domestically.

        They’re not trying to effectively govern. It has been a long time since that was any concern of the Republican Party. Their government is about using force to steal whatever you can get, and enjoying cruelty towards those who can’t fight back.
