It should be your choice what bathroom you use. Even if you “look like a man” but are a woman, you should be able to use the women’s bathroom without being attacked. Same goes for men who “look like women”, in their words. Also, if a man “looks like a woman” or looks feminine but says his pronouns are he/him and that he’s a man, his pronouns are he/him and he’s a man.
I feel like I’m preaching to the choir here, but I can’t STAND IT. I’m a cis lesbian for crying out loud but at least I’m not like Arielle Scarcella or whatever the hell her name is.
I kinda get wanting a restricted space for privacy, but unisex bathrooms with multiple stalls exist. The key is making them peek proof and reasonably secure. Once that’s out of the way, the difference between a line inside the bathroom and one outside it becomes moot. At that point, it really isn’t about having privacy any more since a public restroom is inherently impossible to make fully privacy centric what with sound proofing being cost prohibitive.
If anything, it would be better to have the same space set up unisex (or unigender if you prefer) since it would cost less to make the now bigger bathroom, and improve some of the waiting times for a place to excrete. Well, with the flaw that you would lose the availability of urinals in the real world, so that would end up being a major drawback for space and use management. Point still remains that public restrooms don’t have to be segregated to be safe and useful.
I just want to say it’s not my business where you do your business. That is all.
Why is even pronouns needed for toilet separation? Should be as easy as “this toilet is for people who wants to pee standing up”, “this is for people who want to pee sitting down”, and “people who want to pee in a cup can go to Berghain”

It’s a problem because there are perverts in sheep’s clothing that hide under identity/gender and will go to other bathrooms as an excuse to perv on the opposite gender.
Would you feel comfortable if you were a woman and some creep of a guy with feminine-like features but still ultimately a guy, came in to the women’s bathroom just to try and sneak peek for nudes?
I mean, if someone does that, it says a lot about someone. So not only are they a perv, but are they also into the idea of someone shitting and pissing? Technically I say you are, if you do this.
You know what, I get your point with some of these people. I don’t think someone should be beaten up, though, for wanting to use the restroom of the gender they identify as instead of the one assigned to them at birth.

Do you not expect people to honor your pronouns? Even among cis folks, when someone uses the wrong pronouns, it’s perfectly fine to correct them (and as a cis man who once had long hair, it came up a fair bit before I grew a beard).
It would be quite rude to continue using the wrong pronouns after someone corrected you. The only difference with queer folks is that their presentation doesn’t always make pronouns obvious.

Sounds like you’re arguing semantics. If you don’t have gendered pronouns in your language, then yeah I wouldn’t expect there to be any issues. In languages with gendered pronouns, each person gets to decide which ones apply to them. It’s not that complicated.
