    Thanks, I gave him a gentle myotherapy fondle and couldn’t get pain or withdrawal reactions. When he hurt his quad/hamstring a few years ago I was massaging it and he was pretty clear about what was and wasn’t acceptable.

      If his heartrate and respiratory rate are normal*, then I’d say it’s just the weather. Animals can get lazy when it’s warm. If his behaviour doesn’t return to normal when the weather is cooler then I’d look further into it.

      *You’d have to look up the normal hr and RR for your breed of dog, as it varies between size and breed, and I’d imagine he’d let you rest your head on him to hear his heart, or take it from his femoral artery near his groin :)
