An old boy’s club, that instead of juries imperiously decides all cases themselves as judges. No doubt appointed by politicians one way or another. India should take back jury trials, judges can’t be trusted, prosecutors can’t be trusted, and the politicians that appoint and influence them least of all.

Juries might not be perfect, but it’s a check on these old boys abusing their authority, you could sue and get a jury to decide this ban. I’m pretty sure the british cancelled most or all juries in India if I recall.

They won’t take any action against the lawyer who threw his shoe at the CJI though.
