That’s a DDOS attack. WTF?
truthout.org doesn’t even use paywalls. Same article at archive.org.
I don’t know whether this is related, but Wikipedia has been blacklisting Archive.today after the controversial archive site was used to direct a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack against a blog.
And altering archived pages to further discredit the target of the DDOS attack!
I don’t use Archive Today anymore over this, but I don’t know of a good replacement as the Web Archive doesn’t work on all sites as you will know. Any advice is welcome.

Uhhh yeah that’s already been known about for a while. It targets the blog of a guy who documented the identity of the owner of archive today.

Do you mean that site is doing an automatic DDOS attack on the people who visit it?
That’s javascript executed on your computer. Every time you visit archive.{today,ph,is,md,fo,li,vn} you contribute to a DDOS attack against one particular site.
