Remember kids, Texas’s power grid was originally created to avoid regulations and Everytime it fucks up it’s due to an ignored regulation.

Huh, sounds like they could have taken the 35 million they paid to a cyber coin company to stop working and used it to fix this “congestion” instead.

Given the fact that the power was moving from wind-rich South Texas, it seems likely it was wind-generated electricity that was curtailed.

That complicates the grid operator’s frequent suggestions that low wind output is responsible for this summer’s requests for energy conservation. There was, apparently, wind power being produced in the state on Wednesday. The grid simply didn’t have the capacity to move it.

    Fucking GOP assholes.

This is a known issue that impacted the blackouts in 2021. Because of how energy is regulated in Texas there is no incentive to build new lines/increase capacity. THAT is what Gov Abbott and his cronies should have been doing these last sessions, not worrying about drag queens and putting cops in schools. And until we get the crazies out of there, this will continue and more people will die.

So please vote — and vote locally, it rolls up! And if your church tells you to vote republican, bting that up with the IRS so they will lose tax exempt status.

    Thank you.
