That’s the logic at Bluesky. They often resort to phony off-the-cuff phraseology when they claim they aren’t Platner apologist yet they clearly are. They say weird things nobody would say face-to-face in real life.

There is no “defense” of Platner, there’s a recognition that should that oaf win his vote will be valuable.
