Dumb question from a cis person:

Online I see a lot of references to trans women getting together with each other, but I’ve never seen similar for trans men (or trans men and women). Does this track to IRL? Or is this imbalance just a memetic artifact (trans memes are popular + yuri memes are popular = trans yuri memes are popular)?

from my subjective observation, trans men are less represented (or at least less visible) in general. be that in online spaces, memes, politics, etc., most discussions focus on trans women for some reason

Im in portland and have been transitioning for 10+ years. Pairings of all types happen. The trans fem yuri pairing online highlight is just gay lesbian fetish 2.0

You see it more because more people are into it.

Idk, I’m dating a trans woman and my ex was a trans woman and my girlfriend’s exes were trans women and I’m a trans woman and we know multiple other local trans women couples. It definitely isn’t just an online fetish.

Dumb guess from a cis person: trans men and trans women getting together is just straight with extra steps.

You just can’t see trans men. I had a friend come out to me once, and if he hadn’t been a baker I’d have never known where the little bastard was.
