I’m actually surprised to see a number higher than the highest state minimum wage in the country.
Why? It’ll fail. “We can’t do that to businesses.”
Because then they can blame inflation on that law/Democrats.
They’d do that anyway. No discretionary / deficit spending unless they’re in power.
Until they implement rules to stop businesses from just jacking up prices beyond their added costs to discourage this type of move, it won’t make a big difference. Businesses need to be as scared of the government as Chinese businesses are.
I dunno, they’re donating millions and giving golden trophies to the big orange man. Seems like they’re plenty scared, just not how we’d want them to be.
Index it to inflation already, you cowards!
We don’t need to have this fight all over again in a decade or two.
