It’s a painting by Roger Garland of Tolkien’s Gandalf. It’s actually thought to draw from the original image that inspired the character of Gandalf, which is Der Berggeist (“the mountain spirit”) by Josef Madlener.
The “pondering my orb” meme is a painting by Angus McBride, and it’s of Saruman gazing into a palantír. I think it’s probably Gríma in the background, though they look a little hobbit-like.
