Have you seen Babe (1995)? It’s a family comedy about a talking pig that wants to become a sheepdog to avoid being slaughtered. James Cromwell delivers a great performance as Farmer Hoggett despite having very little dialogue. And, oddly enough, it was co-written by George Miller (of the Mad Max franchise.) OH! And Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, LOTR) plays a grumpy dog.
There’s also a sequel, Babe: Pig in the City (1998). I think it’s worth a watch but it’s definitely a step down. It’s very much a kids movie, whereas the first was entertaining for everyone.
