Fun fact a few of those artificial sweeteners were discovered because the scientist didn’t wash up good enough after messing with chemicals. Some of it stayed on his fingers and he noticed it had a sweet taste.

So with that in mind OSHA has probably prevented some other random sweeteners from being discovered by enforcing health standards.
