seriously, why are there 8119 battalions in the IDF? i know it varies country to country, but in the US a battalion is typically 2+ companies of a few hundred guys, or like 500-600 people, though it can be up to 1,000. so at the low average end, we’re talking over 4 million. is everyone with citizenship just assigned a battalion for life when they turn 18 like a social security number, and they keep making new ones until an old one has no members left alive, then it gets recycled?
the entity claims their entire population is under than 10 million while probably 30% of the pop is under 14 and another 8% are over 70.
