Literally every single Marxist theory of fascism emphasizes that it’s a reaction to capitalism in crisis. That the regimes themselves are obviously unstable does not change that they are invariably superseded by a capitalist successor state that utilizes the destruction wrought by fascism. The DDR was literally the only exception to that and that only happened due to direct occupation by the USSR.

What slice of America is too stupid to become anti-fascist by this point but will suddenly understand if Trump violates another election norm? Americans are constantly looking for an excuse to not do anything, there being a fascist government is likely going to get “can’t do anything; fascist government – maybe china or canada will save us”.

The rhetorical advantage OP here thought the left in the USA would get would be completely nullified by the insane censorship that would soon follow. One is not going to be pwning the libs on Bluesky into becoming anti-fascist when elections get cancelled.

Outside of the US, IDK. Seems like the only way for anyone outside the US to understand how evil it is isn’t by argument or evidence but by the on-going trumpian fascist spectacle playing out. So IDK, maybe countries like Spain, Mexico, France, Ireland, Australia, etc. might finally distance themselves from the US more solidly if Trump 3 happens.
