Yes, because the parties I go to are not full of empty shells of persons who try to maximize their happiness function. Instead, we appreciate each other’s company without having to tell stories of happiness achievements.

Is that what you think happy people talk about, being happy? So, at your parties, you talk about wealth?

We talk about all sorts of things but we don’t try to be happy. You’ll have a much better life once you start caring about wealth and morality instead of your happiness. I promise ;)

Do you even know what being happy means? It’s not about laughing or smiling all the time. If you live a life where you fear for your family’s health because you can’t afford healthcare, and can’t send your kids too a good school so they don’t have good future aspects, you would be less happy then if you could be sure that a hospital bill won’t ruin your economy and you can see your kids get the education they want. To be happy doesn’t mean that you don’t try to push yourself to generate wealth. Does not stop you from caring about morality (whatever that means). If you feel like your and your family’s life is safe, secure, and gives meaning, you are probably happy.
