Tim Hortons (it’s a fast food brand quite popular in Canada for those who’re confused) is partnering up with the Harry Potter IP to launch Harry Potter themed products for some time.
JK Rowling, who’s a massive massive transphobe and who has caused a lot of pain to our trans friends earns quite a lot of money from the IP. Every penny you spend on this IP directly contributes to her financial growth.
Please boycott Tim Hortons (at least for the duration of this event if not forever).
Trans rights are human rights, and fuck all individuals and institutions that violate/promote violation of human rights.
I already boycott it so much that I don’t even use the 2 or 3 gift cards sitting in my junk drawer still full as when they were given to me.
Use them. They earn even more money if you don’t. But don’t spend anything more.
The problem with using them is the food is such absolute garbage that indont want to eat it. I used to use them to buy donuts for work but I haven’t had a crew of people that I work with to get them for.
Soon I’m starting a new job and there will be a team of guys that I’ll be supervising and I will bribe them with treats to get on their good side.
