I’ve been rewatching my favorites (Mr. Robot, Andor, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and I’m curious: What is your favorite show of all time? What makes that your favorite?

I was gonna say Firefly. “Objects in Space” is amazing.

But it’s Ted Lasso, since at least once in every episode it gives me some happy or sad feels and I think we all need to feel the feels.

Gonna go with something differrent here

    Adventure Times

Quite long running series that starts super silly but actually does explain all the weirdness that you see from the beginning over its runtime. You think its just a cute strange setting with candy people, some magic and a planet half destroyed that looks a bit like Earth. But there’s a whole story behind it and it slowly unfolds more and more over the seasons.

    It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

    It’s gross, it’s wrong, it’s mean, it’s hilarious.

        1000%

The cracks form quickly in 13, but Time’s Up for the Gang, The gang solves the bathroom problem, and the gang gets new wheels are great.

14 has Paddy’s has a jumper, the gang solves global warming, a woman’s right to chop are good episodes. The others range from meh to always skip.

        15 was a total wash.

And from there, I don’t care.

i read in an article a while back they looked tired and wanted to give up by end of s14. obviously, if you know the actors, kaitlyn, charlie, rob, glenn they dont have much going on for them as far as hollywood goes. they are kinda stuck with the show they cant create. also thier bizarre behaviour, as in plastic surgery and robs name change and his questionable colloborations.

even the isaip sub, the people were kinda shocked at robs trying to stay in hollywood elite circle.

Like others my favorites change a lot, but having just rewatched Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood… Dude what an awesome show. Always cry at least 5 times watching it. For sure deserving of a fixed spot on any top 10s.

And one I haven’t seen anyone mention: Andor. The best Star Wars anything ever.

Ones that I deeply love to the core but wouldn’t consider comfort TV:

    • Sense8
    • Bojack Horseman
    • Fleabag (and I will probably never watch it again tbh)
    • Atlanta
    • Heated Rivalry

    Comfort shows:

    • Heated Rivalry (ya twice)
    • Law & Order: SVU (yes I know it’s copaganda but I will die for Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler and you can pry this show from my cold dead fictional-cop-loving hands)
    • Red Dwarf
    • Doctor Who (the RTD era)
    • Dinosaurs (the criminally underrated puppet one from the 1990s that every adult needs to rewatch immediately)

Honourable mentions for me have mostly been mentioned by other commenters but Schitt’s Creek, Arrested Development, The Good Place. And one I haven’t seen in this thread yet, Resident Alien!

I was thinking that I didn’t have one, but Avatar is one of the one’s I rewatched the most, so it has to be up there. It’s probably between that and The Office.

Does a version that doesn’t look like crap exist? Seems like it’s very low res everywhere I can find it, even through the seven seas.

Honestly the one I’m streaming now looks like crap too. I had torrented a really high quality one a couple years ago, so probably on TPB?

    I’m no particular order:

    Dramas:

    • The Wire (truly incredible TV, maybe the best Shakespeare ever told through Baltimore drug trade)
    • Succession
    • Damages (legal drama)
    • True Detective (wish I could go back and experience watching this for the first time again so bad)
    • Mad Men
    • Widow’s Bay (apple TV and absolutely hysterical horror)

    Comedies:

    • Arrested Development

    • Veep

    • Silicon Valley

    • Schitt’s Creek

      Regularly on in the background:

      • Curb Your Enthusiasm
      • Futurama
      • 30 Rock
      • The Good Place

Cowboy Bebop (the animated ver) - Just absolute cinema the whole time. Never watched the live action, probably never will. Soundtrack goes so hard and the voice acting in both English and Japanese are unparalleled imo. Such an imaginative and realistic depiction of the future, especially for the time. Thanks a million to Adult Swim for introducing me to my fav show of all time.

I really liked the live action Cowboy Bebop. But then, I never watch the anime. Then again, I don’t mind remakes and format changes, so long as it is still well made.
