so i’m writing this because i see a lot of comments removed from this community routinely.

i think we need to talk about fundamentals of what it means to be a human. to be human means to have a soul and to believe in people’s wisdom and willingness to learn and find themselves. this can only happen in an environment where people can make mistakes and not shot down when they make one.

this is a fundamental principle of human existence. i’ve seen troubling tendencies in this community that comments get removed routinely by the moderators, mostly for not fitting the moderator’s views. you have to let people talk. they may be wrong but without discussion there is no development. if you whiplash people’s thoughts, you’re only gonna end up with dogs, and that’s not good.

It’s not about free speech, it’s about poisoning the well. Communists and leftist spaces have always had to have a tight hold because of the numbers of people that will try to infiltrate it to weaken the cause. They bring their liberalism to the door with their anti-communist propaganda that they’ve been spoon-fed all of their life. Try to claim they are one of us, we have the same goals and but theirs is the only right solution. They want to work within the confines of the same system that exploits them. Which is why we say we need to read theory and history in order to have an understanding of how to change the systems. If you don’t understand the history, you don’t know how to change the present

hmm yeah i see where you are coming from. the thing with “poisoning the well” is a real issue, and i’m wondering what strategies would be effective in preventing it? eventually a free discussion platform is needed, but it has to let the spirit flow freely or we’re never getting anywhere. things only happen when people feel like it, and you can’t force people to feel something.
