Either I, as a non-native speaker, do not understand the word debating or the headline is not representative of the content. The word itself isn’t used in the video or the text and no such thing is described. They say there are some people in favour of gay marriage and some people against. It’s the usual suspects and this has been going on for a long time. I don’t really see the news value either, aside from it being pride season somewhere.

The EU courts ruled that registered partnerships from other countries must be recognised in all EU member states, but the Slovakian government isn’t listening to that and actively opposing it.
Judging by the video the only opposing voices to that are from the LGBT community themselves, which doesn’t constitute much of a debate in my eyes.
Some countries have marriage definition in constitution. Its an interesting question when EU’s court decision go against domestic constitution.
