    I’m pleased one of my communities finally made this list! However, 0.25% increase to 99 suggests it gained ~0.25 of a subscriber. Which doesn’t make much sense? (I’m referring to !imaginaryfairies@lemmings.world if you want to check the numbers)

      The weighting is so it’s not all small communities on the list (a small growth in a big community is the same as a big growth in a small community)
      So today’s is:

      weight: (99-95)/100 = 0.04
      4.21 * 0.04 = 0.16

      It’s averaged over the past 7 days to try to capture genuine trends, rather than 1-day spikes.
      So the number on this list comes from:
      (0.86 + 0.00 + 0.59 + 0.04 + 0.09 + 0.01 + 0.16) / 7 = 0.25
