The premise of this episode comes from a strip of Pugsley dressed in a scout uniform practicing his salute in the mirror while Morticia and Gomez look on and remark that he did not get that from their side of d family.
Morticia and Gomez visit a psychiatrist, who then makes a house call. The psychiatrist assumes all of the macabre decor is what has them concerned about Pugsley.
In the end of the episode Pugsley returns to normal, he even turns into a werewolf. There is a non-Addams Family strip where a boy, looking very much like Pugsley turns into a werewolf through the use of a chemistry set. I have yet to find a good scan of it, this is the best i have.

Seems to be more of an allusion to Jekyll/Hyde than werewolf.
