, Lee said that while touring the world over the last 50 years, he always felt relief when returning home. But he said that has changed.

“Toronto was the city that worked. As I look around now, it’s not the same,” he wrote. “Something has gone wrong, and it isn’t the people. It’s the leadership.”

She slapped on a needed property tax increase, otherwise there is no way she had a discernible impact on this, on “torontos feeling coming home”, especially after the many years of neglect under previous leaders.

He is either dog whistling or just hates taxes like all older rich folks.

It’s plenty of things. Part dog whistle, part rich and doesn’t want to be taxed, part pro-israel (Bad Badford’s platform and backers).

He’s dog whistling false claims about antisemitism

energy, fresh ideas and really cares" about all the city’s communities.

and this city gave them the one thing they wanted most: a safe place to raise their kids.

CIJA is pushing the antisemitism card hard in Canada as if it’s the biggest racial issue at the moment. They constantly claim that the government doesn’t do enough to protect Jewish communities. And Geddy is hitting that same nerve with his dog whistles.

This may have something to do with Chow being friendly with Palestinian voices. I know a couple of pro-Israeli people who will vote Brad Brad for this reasin even though they misalign with his city policy on pretty much every other issue.

Yeah I guess it’s simply too cognitively taxing to vote based on more than a single issue.
