It’s good to see that the Republicans will struggle to advance their agenda over the next two years, but I’m struggling to see how the DNC intends to turn this into further momentum to improve the material conditions of the working class address the affordability crisis or impact the anti-immigrant policies.

Can’t the president just veto anything they submit?

      • Investigate the supreme court, trump’s family, for corruption
      • investigate pete hegseth so he can do no more harm
      • turn back the tariffs
      • bring fresh blood with tons of energy to fight the oligarchy

Buckle up, this is not a slim margin win. It’s not a super majority, but it’s a solid voting win.

Investigations can absolutely happen without a supermajority. Tariffs are a maybe. the courts might be more likely to shut them down if they have the legislative branch breathing down their necks. Things that turn up from the investigations can be used to file new lawsuits. Dems could extract concessions during budgeting.

That said, I don’t have a lot of confidence Dems will do much of anything, despite the wave. I hope I’m wrong.

I was thinking about the tariffs being a maybe too. We gotta try though. They did 2 impeachments, tons of investigations and got our economy back after covid last time, I think they can do it, but we have to stay on them to do it. The elections are just the first step.

That will end up ushering in another blue wave in 2028.
