Pervert glasses
The Yay-Bans and Nay-Bans will be arguing over this topic.
Is Major Bans related to Ray Bans ? And why was he not visible without smart glasses?
That actually is Ray Bands, he’s just been promoted to Major.
But they still don’t have night vision? Pff.
There is no privacy in public spaces. You may expect not to be recorded at scale, but privacy always has been limited. I consider limiting processing and collecting data at scale to be much more effective as you can actually enforce that.
Difficult to enforce laws are easy tools for discrimination and injustice as not everyone is affected equally.
The twist here is that the target has no idea they’re being filmed. Not illegal in the US, but it’s sketchy. If I see a dude wearing those that the flea market, I’m going to follow him around shouting,
“This guy is recording all of you on the sly! Ladies beware!”
Public shame will shut this shit down faster than any legislation.
