Got rid of my Xbox and PS5 as I was sick of having to pay out for subs (PSN/XBL) so I’ll gladly take any of the PS5 games that Sony offer on PC, even if we have to wait a while.

Good to see the Sony exclusives still coming.

There’s no way Sony is giving up on PC ports now.

They invest into developing a game and get all the sales within their own game store, plus the exclusivity boosts the sales of the console itself and next titles in the franchise. Then, after all this effort and cost is long gone, they get to invest minimal effort to sell and hype the same game all over again to another audience and, again, try to hook these players into the franchise perhaps even selling a console to them. There are no downsides, only extra money.

Recently finished zero dawn on PC and really enjoyed it. Hopefully this lives up to it’s predecessor!

On PC, HZD is a privacy nightmare with no option to turn off data collection - you either comply to full data collection, or “limited”, whatever that means.

Content data: Video, audio, graphic, text, game level, account information, ad and other content that is requested and downloaded for the features, games, apps and websites you access online.

Network data: Network connections, IP address, requirements and speed of the connections."

Why the hell does HZD, a single player offline video game, need that data for?

            Also:

Security data: Information necessary to detect and investigate malicious, unauthorized or fraudulent activity.

Legal data: Information required by applicable law and to demonstrate compliance.

            Yikes.

I would have no problem with that if they allowed me to turn data collection off. But that’s just not possible, and you can only ask them nicely to only gather “limited data collection”, without any kind of information about what “limited” and “full” really mean.

Oh it’s finally being completed? Then what happened to it being released 6 years ago? What was that? The BETA? I thought it was a full game?
