New characters are resources too. The word doesn’t have to be limited to spendable currencies like “lumber and gems”.
Tetris doesn’t really have an end. It just keeps going. So this is a very specific crash where if you get far enough into the game, it can’t keep up with the player any more. You “beat” Tetris by playing so well you make the game break.
This is similar to getting pacman to crash by beating level 255 at which point incrementing the level goes past what can be stored and the data gets corrupted.
“Living fuels” as opposed to fossil fuels?
Pretty recently.
When the majority of people I grew up respecting decided to use their religion as an excuse to participate in or support a terrorist attack, a lot of things started unraveling pretty quickly. Turns out none of them actually cared about what Jesus wanted, but rather what that news station said.
With so many of my old friends and church leaders telling me hate was the answer, the cognitive dissonance didn’t have any ground to stand on anymore.
These sales are for the original Ps5 model, right? Not the “slim”?
Is there any major reason to choose one over the other besides the size?
Well, I’m using GitHub. I don’t know what to tell you.
I guess I would be ok sending the money on my own. But these other services have the nice feature of allowing other users to contribute to the bounty into a single pot. I.e., I can put a bounty of $20, then user b also really wants the feature and will add $5. When the PR is approved, the developer is guaranteed $25 and doesn’t have to contact user b to send their $5 or give out their financial info to X number of people.
This game came out in 2022.
One thing I’ve started to notice in here is a ND person will make some joke based on typical Autistic dry humor (overly literal or pragmatic, etc.) or just putting a light-hearted spin on the situation, and some NT will swoop in to attack that person for “gatekeeping” or “mocking”, not realizing this was an ND attempting some inside humor directed at fellow NDs.
Feels bad finally finding a community where we can safely share our traumas and quirks and insights, and then “allies” feel the need to attack and berate us when we’re just Autistic and just socializing in our weird way.
Please be nice and don’t shame our odd humor. We’re struggling already as-is.
For example, a light-hearted ND joke here, immediately attacked by someone who doesn’t realize this community is exactly where that kind of humor is very common: https://communick.news/comment/316930
I’m dumb. What is FTV in this context?
Heh. A stick gathering phenomenon that destroys the world.
I don’t think you should be allowing “find healing herbs” without some kind of skill check
Yeah, it’s all by the book as much as I can. He’s a Druid with like +6 in Nature and proficiency with Herbalist Kit and he passes most of the checks I give him.
Yeah, we’ve had a few moments like this. For example, I warned him “these are the King’s personal gardens. Your character is pretty sure he will be caught and imprisoned if you start digging up whole plants in plain sight of the guards escorting you.” He was all for taking that risk, because “what if those blue flowers are MAGICAL?”. So the other players characters decided to physically restrain him to keep him until they got safely into the castle.
Yeah, hes a surprisingly good player, getting really into the roleplay and trying to find creative solutions. He even has his own PHB he bought with his own money when he was 5.
I’ll talk to him about lumping some of his crafting into a downtime period to try keeping the distraction down to a less distracting level. I like that idea, a lot.

Ollie’s parents are unfortunately not joining us. Ollie is just the friend of the kid (let’s say AJ) whose parents started the campaign with me. I agree with you, if it were just me and Ollie and his parents that would be different. (Edited the original post for clarity)
However this case all three adults (both parents and a third adult) and the other kid (AJ) are becoming visibly more annoyed in each session, as the campaign was going smoothly until Ollie joined in a couple weeks ago. The three adults have gone as far as (in-game) tying him up so he can’t grab things and (out of game) asking me if there’s a way to handle this in the game because now that he’s in, they feel bad kicking him out, but the game is no longer fun for AJ in particular who really just wants to explore the story. Hence my post.
If you haven’t already, look up Graphic Audio. They make a lot of popular books into audio dramas. It felt a bit cheesy to me the first time but it’s grown on me. I find them often on Hoopla or at my library.
“We’re Alive” was a pretty fun audio drama that I think started as a podcast, but they edited into more seamless “books”. Available as a freebie if you have Audible.
“Impact Winter” is another Audible freebie I think, about Vampires.
Alternatively, you may be interested in the Magnus Archives. It’s a podcast with a short horror story in each episode, but all tied together by the researcher who narrates it. Eventually some connections form between the stories but each one is pretty short so you don’t need to be super dedicated to the whole podcast if you just want a few stories.
I gotchu. I read it literally the way you say at first.
This is exactly the kind of joke I make all the time which is what prompted my friend to ask if I was autistic.

Do with it what you will.
