In 2001, I spent a couple of months hanging out in Vancouver and other parts of British Columbia. Vancouver punks, The Black Halos had recently released the album The Violent Years on Sub Pop and were having a “moment”. This song was getting played a lot and is evocative of that time for me, along with a couple of other songs.
